Kew Gardens is a great place for toddlers to let off steam as well as learn about their natural surroundings. Although most of the purpose built play areas are for three years and up families with babies and toddlers will still have plenty to keep them amused within the 300 acre site.
There is a human size badger sett to explore, trees to climb, indoor and outdoor play zones, lake, aquatic centre with piranha and more.
There are often family events and activities throughout the year and free activities for children during school holidays. Search the Tot Friendly calendar for events or visit the Kew Gardens website for more details.
Facilities for warming baby’s bottles are available at all restaurants and cafes as well as children's menus/boxes.
You are also allowed to bring your own food to Kew - picnics are allowed anywhere except in the cafes and restaurants, or inside the glasshouses.
Most of Kew is buggy friendly and there are baby changing facilities throughout the gardens.
Entry to the gardens is free for children.
